Boneworks has been out for 3 years and has 2k mods tops. “Bonelabs” isn’t a game. Boneworks (for now) is better than Bonelab mod-wise, but that will change in a few weeks once Bonelab gets custom item support. I find that games that are more gameplay-immersive (aka Boneworks and bonelab) don't require high quality graphics. But the more you step away from gameplay realism, the more graphics begin to matter. And even with that in mind, I think the graphics in Boneworks (and hopefully bonelab) are higher quality than a lot of indie vr games out there.
Check your SteamVR settings, go to Developer, and the Current OpenXR Runtime should be SteamVR, if it shows something such as "Oculus" or anything else, there should be a button that allows you to set it to SteamVR.
