The 1000X produces an amazing travel distance of 17.7 inches, while the Honda Talon 1000R produces 20.1 inches of travel. Even though there is a slight difference of mere 3.4 inches in travel distance, I was surprised by the performance of both suspensions.The biggest upside to me (other than being a Honda) is the great engine braking. On the other hand, there are the major downsides #1 for me is the suspension. Even the live valve on "soft" is pretty rough compared to what else is out there. Non live valve is even worse.
